Inhoud van de stage:
Investigate the level playing field between European Railway undertakings in terms of contractual conditions: investigate and compare contractual conditions within the European rail freight sector to understand the balance between risk and opportunity for different undertakings. Qualitative analysis techniques to scrutinize contract terms, risk allocation strategies, and their impact on the competitiveness and collaboration dynamics within the European rail freight market. The findings aim to provide insights into optimizing contractual frameworks to foster mutually beneficial relationships among stakeholders while mitigating risks effectively. Map the competitive landscape between barge and rail in the Western-European freight sector. Understand the selection criteria which decision makers consider. Explain the current level of cooperation between both transport modes from a supply chain perspective, but treat the competitive behavior of barge transport as well. Is competition on price possible. Lineas wants to understand what level of volume is lost to barge.
